McCanners of New York | 23rd Edition

How long have you been at McCann?

A month and a week.

What do you enjoy most when you’re not working?

Good company and laughter. This combo is the game changer for any night or event.

What is your go to karaoke song?

The world cannot handle my amazing voice. However, I’d say, A Milli by Lil’ Wayne.

What is your guilty Netflix binge?

Recently, it has been a tie between Mad Men and Bob’s Burgers. But my all-time favorite show is Seinfeld so please step up your game Netflix.

What was the last book you read?

I believe it was Cross Country by James Patterson. The Alex Cross books will have you forgetting the time so tread lightly.

Childhood nickname?

What advice would you tell your 17 year old self?

Make your mistakes and relax because everything works out in the end.

What are you currently obsessed with?

I am obsessed with myself. How can you love others if you can’t love yourself? Just kidding. I really don’t know because that is such a strong and negative word. I love lamp? (Anchorman reference).

Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

Working at McCann as a VP.

What would be your last meal?

A massive double cheeseburger with pepper jack cheese, sautéed onions, thick pieces of bacon, mushrooms, jalapenos, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, and mayo. But wait, there’s more! I would eat this majestic burger with a sampler consisting of Buffalo wings, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, and cheesy fries. Throw in a giant pretzel to dip in some mustard. For dessert, I would have cookies n’ cream ice cream on top of a large brownie. How great does that sound?

What is your greatest fear?

Every time I drink from a lid, I have a vision of my drink spilling all over me. Sounds like a great day right?

Which living person do you most admire?

My mother.

Which talent would you most like to have?

Consistently picking the winning lottery ticket.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Surviving 4 years in Buffalo, NY.

What do you most value in your friends?

Their sense of humor.

Who is your favorite hero in fiction?

Batman because he has no powers and can still put superheros to shame.

Who are your heroes in real life?

My parents.

What is your motto?

Seize the day and protect yourself from regret.

Where are you most likely to splurge?

Anywhere with my best friends.

If you could live at any point in history what point would that be - and why

The future because that is where success is waiting for me.

What is a piece of information people would be surprised to hear about you

If I am not out saving the city, I am playing video games. I can do the voice of Smeagle from Lord of the Rings and the Scream guy. Also, the fact that I am a Dominican from NYC that went to school in Buffalo, played rugby, and is in a frat. Random stuff.

Your worst habit

When my friends call my personal phone, I usually let it ring and send them a text saying “whats up?” It drives them crazy so maybe that is why I still do it.

One thing you have always wanted to do and have not yet done

Pay to have my parents go on vacation anywhere they want.

Best piece of advice someone has given you

Life is tough as it is, why stress what you can’t control? Laugh, life is too short.

Who is the most glamorous person you have ever met

Not sure.

Pick two celebrities to be your parents.

Wouldn’t want anyone else to be my parents.

Favorite Instagram account you think everyone should follow.

I think @humansofny will restore your faith in humanity.

If you were reborn as an animal, what would you be?

A wolf.

If you could have drinks with 3 people dead or alive, who would it be?

Eddie Griffin, Robin Williams, and Kevin Hart. How hilarious would that night be?

Favorite Restaurant in NYC?

Il Poeta in my hometown, Forest Hills.

Name one song that would be on the soundtrack to your life?

Fear by Drake.

First celebrity crush?

Alessandra Ambrosio. Enough said.

Celebrity doppelgänger?

I’ve been told that I am a hybrid between Tiger Woods and Dwayne Johnson.

If you could have any super power, what would it be?

I think the best answer would be the ability to permanently acquire other people’s powers without a limit of the number of powers you can possess. But who am I to be selfish in a world of super powers? In all honesty, I think the ability to teleport and take people with you would be pretty cool.
