Mobile World Congress
Every year, Mobile World Congress meets to represent the interest of device makers, software companies and internet providers. In today's connected age, more and more things are being tethered together via the device in your pocket and the topics that come out of this event are increasingly relevant.
Gemma Craven, SVP, Director, Social & Mobile at McCann New York, attended the event in Barcelona and got some valuable insights into the direction of mobile. One of the key topics was how 1-to-1 marketing is becoming easier because so many elements of our lives are regularly being connected. The Internet of Things links lightbulbs, fitness trackers, Facebook profiles, and even your bike to a single device. The byproduct of our data-driven society is a boon to brands because they can nuance and tweak the conversations with people to become more relevant than ever before.
