McCann hosts NYUL Empowerment Day for Young Men

McCanners joined their IPG colleagues in a mentoring session last week for the 7th annual New York Urban League Empowerment Day for Young Men. Employees acting as mentors shared their personal and professional journeys with visiting NYC-area high school students over a lunch and learn session.

"I really enjoyed getting into their experiences," said Doug Harrison, Junior Project Manager. When asked about the theme of the afternoon, he said it was "that hard work doesn't necessarily lead to immediate gratification." He was also impressed by the drive and ambition of the boys aged 14-17. "They already know so clearly where they want to go in life."

The students were shown highlights of some of the work from McCann and were also taken on a tour of the agency. The day was hosted by IPG Diversity & Inclusion and the Black Employee Network.
