McCann Worldgroup’s Nannette Lafond-Dufour Honored at Ad Age’s Women to Watch

Ad Age hosted their 20th anniversary of the Women to Watch 2016 luncheon to honor 23 remarkable women in media, marketing and advertising, including McCann Worldgroup’s very own Nannette Lafond-Dufour, Global Chief Client Officer. After Ad Age and Advertising Women of New York (AWNY) congratulated the women for their contributions and for helping shape the future for next generation leaders, the conversation turned to recent statements made around gender diversity in the ad industry. The women on stage said that the conversation is not over, and to progress, we must continue to promote women and be an inspiration to other females getting into the field.

In Nannette’s speech during the luncheon, she echoed these statements when thanking her support group at McCann and at home. She closed with sending her appreciation to a woman who left a lasting impression on her career: Charlotte Beers, American businesswoman. 

“She was this incredibly inspiring, powerful woman who made me believe. There was never any question that anything is possible. And I think it’s so important to have those kind of figures in the industry to make us believe and go forward and not question the possibilities.”
