Side Hustle with John Dorado
John Dorado, Lead AV Support Technician, is always on the go, but you can usually spot him hanging outside of the largest meeting of the day. He is one of the most essential go-to people and someone everyone at the agency should know.
While not working at McCann, John Doe (his artist name) is running his own production company, TrēVo Productions. He is a co-owner, producer, and an artist. He started the company in July 2017 with his best friend, whom he met at Frank Sinatra Performing Arts High School. They played in the wind ensemble and Jazz Band together where John played alto saxophone.
The creation of their company was the result of a long-held creative dream. During the first 2 years of college, John started a hip hop dance club to get out of his comfort zone and learn about leading a group. In the last 2 years, he started a music production club to try to figure out what he wanted to do in life. For four years after college, John and his best friend produced music together. The confidence John gained from starting the different clubs in school, the music library that he and his partner created and and their ambition to incorporate music into their careers led them to form TrēVoProductions, LLC.
TrēVo allows artists to record, produce music, create music, shoot a video, or even offers consulting on project development. John and his partner’s main goal is to promote collaboration between artists. John’s favorite part about his side hustle is the satisfaction that of seeing a client execute a project that turns out exactly how they imagined it, or even better than expected, after pushing everyone on the team to do their best work.
