Limericking for St. Patrick’s Day at McCann

Limericking for St. Patrick’s Day at McCann

McCanners celebrated St. Patrick’s Day a day early with a special Irish-themed happy hour at our weekly TWB Thursdays @5. Sound tracked with U2, the Cranberries and the Pogues, the happy hour menu featured corned beef and cabbage sliders, mushroom & leek tarts and an impressive spread of Irish cheese. To compliment what was available on tap, our TWB Beer Club brought a mix of their favorite Irish imports: Guinness, Kilkenny, Harp and Smithwicks.

The celebration also brought the third annual TWB Limerick Contest. With over 50 entries about everything from the pains of booking a meeting room to the joys of selling a great idea, competition was fierce. Ultimately, our winning limerick came from EVP, Executive Account Director, Peter Bracegirdle as an ode to Fearless Girl, our most recent work with State Street.

There was a young girl called fearless

Whose impact on all was peerless

She inspired young and old

To stand up and be bold

Because women are worth more not less

Sláinte! (Cheers!)
