McCanners of New York | 66th Edition

McCanners of New York | 66th Edition

How long have you been at McCann and what do you do here?

It will be 5 years in September.  I’ve worked across account management, brand strategy, on Coca-Cola, General Mills, Truth Central, within McCann New York, McCann Worldgroup, and even worked out of our Barcelona office for a summer.

 Last thing you Googled?

I Google weird things for a living. “Are hipsters invading Montevideo?” (apparently an article that just came out about my hometown in the NY Times. You can check it out here à )

Who are your creative heroes?

Anton Gaudi, Frida Kahlo and Richard Linklater.

Current song on repeat?

I need never get old – Nathaniel Rateliff

Two truths and one lie?

I was once arrested at a Snoop Dog concert in Santiago, Chile

I have lived in 8 different countries across Latin America, North America and Europe

I met Sofia Vergara at LaGuardia Airport and she complimented my sneakers

What was the last picture you took on your phone?

Because anyone who has ever worked at McCann in New York knows that you never get over the view.

If you could be any age for a week, what age would you be?

Nine and a half. Post-cooties, before the kids get mean.

Your most bizarre talent?

Getting airport security and staff to soften their cold hearts and do nice things for me when I desperately need to get on the next plane.

What are you currently obsessed with?

Tidying up. It’s an obsession / real problem.

Name a character trait you’ve inherited from your parents.

Irrational. Is that mean? Okay lets do this again, expressive (from dad) and high-standards (from mom).

What is your greatest fear?

Wasting time.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

The relationships I’ve fostered and managed to maintain with my siblings, my mom, dad, and a few special friends.

What is your motto?

It changes once a week… Currently into, “Don’t look back, you’re not going that way.”

Where are you most likely to splurge?

Your worst habit?

My life-threatening impatience.

Best piece of advice someone has given you?

“La vida es un suspiro, vivela intensamente con la gente que amas, si no no vale la pena.”

Vague Translation (does not do it justice): Life is a sigh, live it intensely with the people you love, otherwise, it is not worth living.

What’s your spirit animal?

Dory. The cartoon. Terrible memory but optimistic and a great companion.
