Wellness Month Wraps at McCann

Wellness Month Wraps at McCann

For April’s Wellness Month at April McCann, our HR team hosted a slew of events at our offices designed to improve employees’ minds, bodies and souls. We kicked off the month with healthy smoothies and by launching our annual Project Fit challenge, a 6-week group fitness challenge where teams of McCanners compete to build muscle and lose the most body fat. A couple of our favorite Project Fit team names: Weight For It and The Rolling Scones.

In mid-April, we brought in health professionals for a “Know Your Numbers” event where employees could get their vitals checked, learn about stress management, get their posture evaluated and enjoy a massage. Our popular nutrition class was back this year to teach employees healthy cooking tip. For our Health Fair, we brought in 15 vendors to share nutritional snacks and wellness services, and we distributed fruit to employees every afternoon for the entire month. At every event, McCanners were invited to enter into a raffle to win FitBits, gym memberships, gift cards, resistant bands and workout towels.

For Earth Day on Saturday, April 22nd, we branded all of our social channels with Earth Day creative, and distributed reusable water bottles with a note about our commitment to sustainability printed on plant-able seed paper, inviting McCanners to plant it on the nearest patch of earth.

We also celebrated National Administrative Professionals Day on Wednesday, April 26th, with our annual pamper-our-admins event. Our creatives designed a card that teams signed for each admin, thanking them for their support throughout the year. Our wonderful admins were treated to manicures, massages, lunch, fruit and wine & cheese.

We wrapped the month with some office spring cleaning and a HR-hosted Thursdays @5 happy hour that featured “skinny” cocktails and healthy snack options. We ended on a high note by announcing the raffle winners.
