Ezequiel Consoli and Kyle Harrison Merge Dating and Voting to Get People Paired Up at the Polls
With voting being such a passion topic, two of McCann’s very own creatives,Ezequiel Consoli and Kyle Harrison, decided to make it social, or even romantic. The idea is to make voting fun, and less intimidating, to young voters. The strategic approach is getting voters out in pairs or groups will increase the likelihood of actually casting a ballot, as well as raise awareness about the midterm elections. Ezequiel and Kyle are hosting a networking event, “DTFind Your Voting Date”, on Thursday, November 1st, for people to find “like-minded people passionate about making a difference”.
Here are some excerpts:
Kyle Harrison: “We started this as a team effort, meaning us two would be taking people on voting dates. While that is still a part of it, it evolved into trying to make the idea of a “voting date” a widespread part of culture.”
Ezequiel Consoli: “Many campaigns leave out people who are passionate about voting but can’t, due to citizenship or any other reason. With this campaign, we give them the opportunity to be a part of the process by accompanying someone to the polls.”
