11 months – HR Manager for Worldgroup’s corporate center.
Favorite go-to drink?
Paul Newman’s Organic Gorilla Grape juice OR ice cold water with lemon.
If you were to open a bar, what would you call it?
“The Idle Hour” – named after my grandfather’s speak easy during the depression.
First ever job?
Working at my pop’s butcher shop as a young adult (I rebelled and went vegetarian at 18 J).
What movie makes you cry?
“My Life as a Dog” (Swedish by Lasse Halstrom)
Name 3 things on your bucket list
- Hike the Campostello de Santiago from France to Spain.
- Finish and publish my memoirs.
- Buy a peaceful hideaway – at the beach or in the woods.
What do you enjoy most when you’re not working?
Watching films – foreign, cerebral, documentaries, etc., avid reader of biographies and outstanding fiction, working on my memoirs, hiking, and anything under a hot sun.
Go to Karaoke song?
“Passione” by Neffa (Italian)
Name a character trait you’ve inherited from your parents.
A knack in the kitchen – experimenting with flavors – especially Italian.
What would be your last meal?
A wooden board with a sampling of burrata, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, and bruschetta … and a glass of cabernet. Who needs anything else?
What is your greatest fear?
Crossing over to the “other side” and learning that I missed critical opportunities to love more.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Working, walking, and living with Mother Teresa (now Saint Teresa) as one of her Missionaries of Charity and working with the poorest of the poor.
Where are you most likely to splurge?
Barnes and Noble! I can get lost there for hours.
What is a piece of information people would be surprised to hear about you?
I was a TV and film actor for many years in the 80’s - Knight Rider, Fame, Whiz Kids … a great time in my life.
Who is the most glamorous person you have ever met?
Lauren Bacall – I was having lunch with my agent and she was at the next table in a beautiful blue dress – pure class! She looked at me, winked and smiled. I never forgot it.
Name one song that would be on the soundtrack to your life?
“Groovin” by the Rascals.
