Next up on our McCann Pride Portrait Series is Executive Assistant, Erika Lindsey!

Within the LGBTQ+ community who do you think needs our support the most right now?

If so, how can we help? Ooph, Trans/Trans youth. Outside the lacking base of equal rights and protection, the gay community had its own prejudice history- so society doesn’t accept/protect you and generations before didn’t have the “chosen family” of the community (LA Pride tried censoring trans activist groups just this year). It’s heartbreaking. It’s isolating. They deserve much, much better. Give financially, volunteer at LGTBQ+ homeless youth shelters, educate yourself on the history and ongoing fight for trans rights.

Describe yourself in 3 words.

Sarcastic, Indecisive, Optimist (that might be sarcasm)

Favorite queer icon?

Tig Notaro

Who is your style icon?

Could an oxford shoe classify as an icon? If not then Heloise Letissier of Christine and the Queens, who also wears oxfords.

Is there anything in particular you would like people to know about you that they don’t already know?

Here it goes, I’ve always wanted to be a knight. For real. But they don’t really exist anymore and I have to make actual money so I work and write a book about a knight instead. It’ll do for now.
